Spectral Imaging

Prism Seismic has been developing and using its spectral imaging technology since 2003. Prism Seismic uses the wavelet transform to analyze the seismic signal and extract frequency dependent attributes. In addition to the common frequency dependent attributes, Prism Seismic spectral imaging technology provides multiple statistical attributes based on the attenuation of the energy that is affected by changes in rock and fluid properties.

In addition to using directly spectral attributes to identify facies changes, faults, fluid contacts, and other key reservoir properties, Prism Seismic has been the leader in using quantitatively spectral attributes in property and fracture modeling. Prism Seismic has been delivering to its clients 3D distribution of petrophysical properties and fracture density models constrained by multiple seismic attributes including those derived by spectral imaging.

Prism Seismic spectral imaging attributes are available in CRYSTAL.
